As NC State Stepped Out Of Atlantic Conference Play Saturday To Host Louisiana Tech Of Conference USA They Topped Them 34-27 In Raleigh

As # 23 NC State stepped out of Atlantic Coast Conference play Saturday to host Louisiana Tech who is a member of Conference USA in North Carolina’s capital they topped them by a score of 34-27.

In the game ran its home winning streak to seven straight games, all four this season, with a hard-fought 34-27 win over Louisiana Tech.

The Wolfpack improved to 4-1 on the season, and won at Carter-Finley Stadium for the third straight week.

The game was a tale of two halves on offense for the Pack. After running for just 37 yards in the opening half, NC State had 141 yards on the ground in the second half and found the end zone for three scores.

The game was a back and forth scoring affair as well with NC State up 13-10 at the half after a pair of Christopher Dunn field goals.

The Pack rushing attack opened up in the third quarter. Ricky Person, Jr. rushed for a 24-yard score to push the Wolfpack forward to a 10-point lead.
After a Bulldogs field goal cut into the Pack's lead, with a touchdown five-yard TD catch from C.J. Riley that came from a pass by Devin Leary.Louisiana answered again, with a TD three minutes into the fourth quarter that made the score 27-20.With 7:45 left, Zonovan Knight rushed for a 4-yard score to push the Wolfpack to a 34-20 lead. But the Bulldogs once again made it a one-score game with 4:43 left with a 14-yard TD pass.After stopping the Pack, Louisiana Tech got the ball back and took it down to the Pack's 22-yard line. With five seconds left, Louisiana Tech threw the ball into the end zone but it was picked off by safety Jakeen Harris to end the game.

NC State, the team located in North Carolina’s has a bye this upcoming weekend before returning to the gridiron where they will oppose Boston College on the road.
