Drew Brees Is Retiring From The NFL After Playing Five Seasons With San Diego And Fifteen Seasons With New Orleans Because He Is Going To Begin His Broadcasting Career With NBC

Drew Brees’s career as a quarterback in the National Football League started after he was drafted in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers who are now the Los Angeles Chargers out of Purdue.

There he spent five seasons before heading to New Orleans in 2006.

Turns out those interceptions would be the final ones Drew Brees would throw of his NFL career!

Why?

Because the starting quarterback recently announced that he is retiring!

He had this to say about his decision!

After 20 years as a player in the NFL and 15 years as a Saint, it is time I retire from the game of football. Each day, I poured my heart & soul into being your Quarterback. Till the very end, I exhausted myself to give everything I had to the Saints organization, my team, and the great city of New Orleans. We shared some amazing moments together, many of which are emblazoned in our hearts and minds and will forever be a part of us.

"You have molded me, strengthened me, inspired me, and given me a lifetime of memories. My goal for the last 15 years was striving to give to you everything you had given to me and more. I am only retiring from playing football, I am not retiring from New Orleans. This is not goodbye, rather a new beginning. Now my real life's work begins!" “according to an article by Mike Triplett on espn.com”

Though,

Drew Brees is leaving the NFL gridiron as a player the former San Diego Chargers and former New Orleans Saints starting quarterback isn’t leaving the game football he’s just going to get it from a new perspective.

Why?

Because he is going to be an analyst for NBC!

What will that intel?

Starting as a game analyst for Notre Dame football and as a studio analyst for Sunday Night Football where he is going to potentially be a replacement for Cris Collinsworth on NBC’s Sunday Night Football. “according to an article by Mike Triplett on espn.com”
