NC State Lost For The Time This Season On The Gridiron At Mississippi State

NC State lost for the first time this season on the gridiron at Mississippi State.

When?

Last night!

Why?

Because they lost by a score of 24-10!

Why?

Mississippi State elected to receive the opening kick, and proceeded to return it 100 yards for the opening score.

In that first quarter the Pack outgained the Bulldogs 114-5 and 6-0 on first downs, but Mississippi State had the lone score of the quarter for the 7-0 lead.

NC State got on the scoreboard less than three minutes into the second quarter with a 45-yard Christopher Dunnfield goal.

Mississippi State tacked on a 21-yard TD pass with 1:09 left in the half to take a 14-3 lead into the break.

A fumble on the Pack's opening possession of the second half resulted in Mississippi State's second TD pass of the game to make it 21-3 into the fourth quarter.

NC State found the end zone with just over a minute left in the contest, Devin Leary connecting with Thayer Thomas for a four-yard score.
