17th ranked North Carolina, NC State finished regular season on opposite ends of spectrum, North Carolina 30-27 in double overtime , NC State won 30-27 in double overtime Friday in Chapel Hill.

In North Carolina’s 30-27 loss to NC State Noah Burnette kicked 37 yard field goal putting 17th ranked North Carolina on scoreboard in 1st quarter.

Before Noah Burnette kicked 37 yard field goal Jack Chambers of NC State ran for 2 yard touchdown , Christopher Dunn kicked extra point giving NC State 7-0 lead . In 2nd quarter Terrell Timmons Jr. caught 38 yard pass from Ben Finley , Christopher Dunn kicked extra point extending NC State lead 14-3 over North Carolina before North Carolina responded with touchdown of their own Elijah Green ran for yards, Noah Burnette kicked extra point cutting North Carolina deficit, NC State’s lead to 14-10 before Christopher Dunn kicked 29 yard field for NC State as time expired extending NC State’s lead 17-10 over North Carolina . North Carolina (9-3) who won the Coastal Division this season is now going to prepare to play Clemson in Atlantic Coast Conference Championship December 3, 2022 in Charlotte at Bank Of America Stadium home of the NFL ‘s Carolina Panthers.
