NC State, Georgia Tech Are Returning To The Gridiron Thursday Night In Atlanta Where They're Going To Be Opposing Each Other Following Having Bye Weeks

A week ago NC State, Georgia Tech weren’t on the gridiron playing opponents because they both had bye weeks!

NC State, Georgia Tech are returning to the gridiron Thursday night in Atlanta where they’re going to be opposing each other following bye weeks.

NC State comes into the game with a record of 5-5 overall 2-4 in the Atlantic Coast Conference is thirteenth in the Atlantic Coast Conference standings because previously played an opponent on Saturday November 9, 2024 when they opposed tobacco road rival Duke in North Carolina’s state capital and had their senior day spoiled by Duke who won 29-19 while they lost by score of 29-19 because because their offense was 4 field goals, 1 touchdown..

The first three field goals came in the 2nd quarter as Kanoah Vinesett kicked, made 30 yard field goal, 28 yard field goal , 37 yard field goal getting them within 12-3 12-6 12-9. The fourth goal came in 3rd quarter when Kanoah Vinesett kicked, made 25 yard field goal tying up the game 12-12. In the 4th quarter Wesley Grimes caught a 16 yard pass from CJ Bailey , Kanoah Vinesett kicked, made extra point getting NC State within 26-19 though that wasn’t enough as it was Duke who would have the last say offensively as Todd Pelino would kick, make 49 yard field goal giving Duke 29-19 a win.

Following NC State losing to tobacco road opponent Duke on senior day in North Carolina’s state capital NC State quarterback CJ Bailey had this to say!

That game was really important for those guys going out, and all week that’s all we had in mind,”That really hurts, man. Like coach (Dave) Doeren said, we’ve gotta dig a little deeper in our soul. That really meant something to those guys. This was their last game here at Carter-Finley, and they gotta end it off with a loss. It’s not good.”

Georgia Tech won their previous game on Saturday November 9, 2024 when they topped 4th ranked Miami now 8th ranked Miami 28-23 in Atlanta Georgia.

As Georgia Tech topped then 4th ranked Miami now 8th ranked Miami 28-23 Georgia Tech scored 4 touchdowns!

Georgia Tech’s first touchdown came in the 1st quarter when Jamal Haynes ran for 16 yard touchdown , Aiden Burr kicked, made extra point giving Georgia Tech a 7-0 lead . In the 2nd quarter Malik Rutherford caught 5 yard pass from Haynes King , Aiden Burr kicked, made extra point extending Georgia Tech’s lead over Miami 14-10 . In the 3rd quarter Georgia Tech would extend their lead yet again this time by score of 21-10 as Chase lane would catch 15 yard pass from Aaron Philo , Aidan Burr would kick, make extra point . In the 4th quarter Haynes King would run for 5 yard touchdown Aiden Burr would kick, make extra point putting Georgia Tech up 28-16 before Miami would get the last laugh as Xavier Restrepo would catch 38 yard pass from Cam Ward , Andreas Borregales would kick, make extra point. Though, it wouldn’t be enough as Georgia Tech would go on to win 28-23.
