BASEBALL

2016 Is Now In The Rear View As 2017 Spring Training Has Arrived

In February we're four months removed from the 2016 season ending. Last season had it's ups and downs as the Chicago Cubs were crowned world series champions for the first time in 108, years  39420 days as they defeated the Cleveland Indians. How exciting was that?

Major league Baseball lost a great player and pitcher in  Miami Marlins Jose Fernandez who died in a boating accident.

It is now February 14th and the pitchers and catchers are the first to report to spring training to get ready for the season while trying to make the opening day roster for their respective teams.

What are you most looking forward to this season? Is it seeing the ball thrown by pitchers at 80, 90 or 100 miles or more? Is it seeing fastballs, changeups, cutters and strikeouts thrown?  Is seeing singles, doubles, triples and home runs scored? Is it seeing your favorite teams or player play?

Good Luck to my favorite teams The Miami Marlines and the New York Yankees!

Best of Luck to my favorite player Miami Marlines right-hand pitcher David Phelps! May this season be as great as  your last!
