Jacoby Ellsbury Homers As New York Falls To Tampa Bay In Finale

The New York Yankees  fell to Tampa Bay in the finale Wednesday at Tropicana Field.

Michael Pineda meanwhile had a rough night on the mound as  Tampa Bay left -fielder Corey Dickerson opened up the scoring for Tampa Bay with a barreled ball that traveled 418 feet and had an exit velocity of 105.3 mph with a 26-degree launch angle. New York returns to action Friday at Camden Yards when they face Baltimore for three games. Luis Severino will be making his first start of the 2017 season. In 2016 he had a record of 3-8 with an earn run average of 5.38. He will face  Ubaldo Jimenez. 

First pitch is set for 7:05 pm. The game will be televised on MASN2. 

Tampa Bay meanwhile will start a four-game series with Toronto Thursday at Tropicana Field when left-hand pitcher Blake Snell who had a record of 6-8 in 2016 will make his first start of this season. He will face Toronto right -hander Marcus Stroman who is coming off a stint with team USA at the World Baseball Classic where he was named the most valuable playerafter his dominating start in the championship game against Puerto Rico in the championship game.
