In game two of the doubleheader Jameson Taillon who started the game for New York was perfect through 7 innings until Kurt Suzuki singled to left, Jared Walsh scored to make the score 1-0 Los Angeles Angels in the top of the 8th inning. Though, the Los Angeles Angels lead wouldn’t last long as first baseman Anthony Rizzo would come off New York’s bench, pinch hit a single to center scoring scoring Miguel Andujar, Isiah - Kiner Falefa to make the score 2-1 New York. That turned out to be the difference in the finale of the doubleheader because Clay Holmes who closed the game for New York pitched 1.0 innings, gave up 0 earned runs, struck out 1 Los Angeles Angels batter walked one Los Angeles Angels batter.
