History In The Making As Duke Becomes The First 5th Seed To Win The ACC Tournament

This season has been anything but what everyone thought it would be for Duke most people probably thought they would coast through the season but that hasn't been the case with Grayson Allen's suspension and Mike Krzyzewski out for some time recuperating from back surgery.  Now it is March and all of it seems to be coming together at the right time.

Freshman Jayson Tatum led the charge in the final three minutes making plays all over the floor that included  blocking  Steve Vasturia's drive to the hoop and then went coast to coast for a layup to make it 68-65 with 1:33 left."I thought, `What are you doing?" On the night Jayson Tatum scored 19 points to finish his first and probably his only ACC Tournament. Luke Kennard who was named the most valuable player of the ACC Tournament finished with 16 points. Duke came from double digits down in the second half to beat both No. 10 Louisville and No. 6 North Carolina to get to the finals at Barclays Center and then came from eight back with 11:35 left to defeat the Irish. Notre Dame meanwhile falls to 25-9 after their 75-69 loss to Duke Saturday.
