Tre Jones Is Duke's New Floor General

There is one player that can make a world of difference in the team being successful on the offensive end of the floor and that is the point guard.

Last season Mike Krzyzewski had a point guard in Trevon Duval but unfortunately he struggled in an area that can be a cause for concern for a coach and that was turnovers as he averaged 20.8 turnovers while averaging 10.3 points per game and 5.6 assists per game.“according to https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/trevon-duval-1.html

This season however, Mike Krzyzewski who is in his thirty ninth season as the head coach of Duke has a new point guard in Tre Jones who is the younger brother of Tyus Jones who led Duke to a national title in 2015 and who currently is in the NBA and a member of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

In high school at Apple Valley Tre Jones averaged 23.5 points per game to go along with 10.4 rebounds and 7.5 assists per game. “according to https://247sports.com/LongFormArticle/2018-19-Duke-MBB-Player-Preview-Tre-Jones-123983911#1035078_1

If there is one thing i’m sure of it’s that Tre Jones is an upgrade from Trevon Duval who ran the offense for Duke last season.
