Redshirt junior Ithiel Hortonscored 17 points with five made threes in the second half alone while senior Jamarius Burton's four-straight baskets down the stretch propelled Pitt past Florida State, 56-51, Wednesday night at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center.

Horton finished the night with a game-high 25 points on 8-of-16 shooting and 7 made threes. Burton, after being held scoreless Monday at Virginia Tech, rebounded with a double-figure, 13-point effort. Graduate student Mouhamadou Gueye flirted with a triple-double before finding foul trouble late as he finished with six points, six rebounds and eight blocks.
