As Duke plays on the road at Boston College this evening Mike Krzyzewski is making his final trip to Chestnut Hill Massachusetts as the Head Coach of Duke.

    Why?

Mike Krzyzewski is retiring after the 2021-2022 season!

    Why?

Mike Krzyzewski had this to say about his decision!

You might ask, 'Why are you doing this right now?' Look, this is not about health. Mickie and I, whether we look it or not -- she does -- whether I look healthy ... I am. It's not about COVID or saying, 'Boy, that year was so bad.' It's not about that. It's certainly not about what's going on with college basketball. 'Boy, the game is changing.' All right. I've been in it for 46 years. You think the game has never changed?"

He later added: "Those aren't the reasons. ... The reason we're doing this is because Mickie and I have decided the journey is going to be over in a year. And we're going to go after it as hard as we possibly can."

    Why?

Because unlike Duke they lost their previous Atlantic Coast Conference game on Tuesday verses Syracuse 64-73 in Chestnut Hill Massachusetts.

In Boston College’s 64-73 loss to Syracuse Boston College  missed their first 10 from the field and their first 11 3-point shots and Swider made 3-pointers 44 seconds apart to give the Orangemen a double-digit lead with eight minutes left before halftime. Buddy Boeheim scored the first eight points - including two 3s - before Swider made another 3-pointer to cap an 11-4 spurt that made it 32-20 about four minutes later.

Zackery converted a three-point play to trim Boston College's deficit to seven points with 2:52 remaining but Girard answered with a 3-pointer and then went 6 of 6 from the free-throw line in the final 1:42.
