Coastal Division Of The ACC

Don't you just love it when there is a little bit of cool weather or are you one of those people that likes the hot weather? In the cool months what do we usually think of ? If you're a football fan you think of tailgating and going to football games. We are a month away from kicking off the 2016 college football season so lets take a look back at what the ACC teams did last year starting with the coastal division.

Miami

"According to miami hurricanes.com"  Mark Richet was hired by director of athletics Blake James. This is his first season at his almautor after being the head coach at the university of Georgia for fifteen years. While at Georgia he was 145 -51 , 85-40 in the South Eastern Conference while winning two  SEC championships, six SEC East titles and nine bowl games. 

Duke

The blue devils had a good season last year they were 8-5 overall and 4-4 in conference play. While winning their first bowl game since 1961 in the pinstripe bowl against Indiana in overtime with a field goal by Ross Martin. 

Virginia Tech was 7-6 overall and 4-4 in conference play.

Virginia

According to virginiasports.com" last year the cavaliers were 4-8 overall and 3-5 in conference play. After the season they fired then head coach Mike London . Bronco Mendenhall was named the new head coach on December 4th 2015 . in his  eleven seasons at the helm at Brigham Young University his team went 99-43.

North Carolina

In 2015 the tar heels were 11-3 -8-0 in the ACC under head coach Larry Fedora. They played in the ACC championship game against Clemson losing 45-37. They were also bowl eligible. They played in the Russel Athletic Bowl "Orlando Citrus Bowl" and lost to the Baylor Bears 49-38.

Pittsburgh Panthers

Last year the panthers were 8-5 overall and 6-2 in the league.

Last but not least GA Tech 

"According to ESPN" the Yellow Jackets were 3-9 on the season . Pretty deflating record. Losing to Duke , Carolina , Clemson , Pittsburgh , Virginia , VA Tech , Miami, Georgia and Notre Dame.

What will each team in the coastal division record be this year? Who will win the coastal ? Which  teams will get a bowl birth if they reach six wins? Those questions are yet to be answered but will be answered soon enough.
