FOOTBALL

The Atlantic Division of The ACC

As of today we are a month away from kicking off the 2016 college football season so lets  take a look back at what the  Atlantic division of the ACC records were last season.

Florida State

In 2015 "According to seminoles.com" Florida State was 10-3 overall and 6-2 in the division. Losing to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 22-16 and the Clemson Tigers 23-13 with both games being on the road.

In postseason play the Seminoles played in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl in Atlanta Georgia and lost to the Houston Cougars.  Although they lost their bowl game, I have a feeling that Jimbo Fisher and the Seminoles are going to be very good this year because they seem to beat almost everyone they play and by a big margin.

Louisville

According to cards.com" In 2015 was 8-5 overall 5-3 in the ACC" Lousiville had a good season last year under head coach Bobby Petrino. "According to go card.com" they were 5-3 in the league at home they were 4-2 and on  the road in conference play their record was 3-2 . What will this fall have in store for the cardinals?

NC State

NC State used to be known as one of Duke's  in state rivals but not so much anymore in football since the Wolfpack are in the Atlantic division and Duke is in the Coastal division and I will be honest I miss these two getting together and playing a football game every year now it's become every five years or so. According to "gopack.com"In 2015 the Wolfpack were 7-6 overall and in conference play they were 3-5. What does 2016 have in store for NC State ? To be honest I really don't know since Duke never plays them except once in a blue moon.

Syracuse

The Syracuse Orange had a pretty bad season 2015 season , According to "syracuse.com" Overall they were 4-8 and in conference play they were 2-6 so I guess I can't say much about their season except that it was a  pretty bad for the Orange. What will 2016 have in store ?

And last but certainly not least how about Wake Forest ? According to wakeforestsports.com" 2015 wasn't the greatest year for the Demon Deacons as they were 3-9 overall and 1-7 in the league. What will this season bring ? More of the same results as last year  ?

Where will each team finish in the Atlantic Division ? Will Jimbo Fisher and the Florida State Seminoles win the Atlantic division? If you asked that question right now I would say yes because look at what they did last year . The Seminoles were 10-3 overall and 6-2 in the division.

Does any  ACC team that plays Florida State this year have a chance to make it a competitive game ? Will Florida State roll through their conference schedule and dismantle every team that they face?  The last time Duke faced Florida State was October 15 2011 because Florida State is in the Atlantic and Duke in the coastal division. The  Seminoles came in to Wallace Wade and dismantled the devils winning by a very large margin . The final score was 41-16.
