As North Carolina Is Playing On The Road At Miami Today They're Facing, Opposing A Miami Team Who Is Coming Off A Bye Week Who Has Yet To Play An Atlantic Coast Conference Opponent

As North Carolina is playing on the road at Miami Saturday they’re facing, opposing a Miami team who is coming off a bye who has yet to play an Atlantic Coast Conference opponent.

North Carolina meanwhile has played an Atlantic Coast Conference opponent and comes into the game with a record of 4-1 1-0 in the Coastal Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference and is second in the Coastal Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference behind tobacco road rival Duke because unlike Miami they played on Saturday in Chapel Hill hosting Virginia Tech who they beat soundly 41-10 In North Carolina’s 41-10 win over Virginia Tech Drake Maye threw for three touchdowns and ran for two more to continue his strong start to the seasonJosh Downs led UNC (4-1, 1-0 ACC) with eight catches and 120 yards, and tight end Bryson Nesbit added 98 receiving yards on four receptions.

Miami comes into the game with a record of 2-2 0-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference because they’ve yet to play a Coastal Division opponent in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Though, Miami did close out the non conference portion of their schedule with a 45-31 loss to Middle Tennessee State on Saturday September 24, 2022.

In Miami’s 45-31 loss to Middle Tennessee State Middle Tennessee State came up with big play after big play this afternoon at Hard Rock Stadium – long passes, takeaways and fourth-down stops. The Hurricanes would respond and inch closer, but MTSU never flinched. In the end there were too many big plays to overcome, and Miami suffered a 45-31 defeat.

MTSU quarterback Chase Cunningham completed 15 of 24 passes for 408 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. Wide receiver Jaylin Lane caught four passes for 130 yards and wide receiver DJ England-Chisolm had two catches – both touchdowns – for 169 yards.
